Staff Updates

We’re pleased to announce the addition of two new team members! Donald de Voil has joined us as the new Program Manager for Vermont & W. NH, and Prashiddhi Pokhrel, who is joining us as a USM Research Assistant Intern through the beginning of December. We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Allison Pouliot, who recently stepped down from her role as Program Manager for VT & W. NH. We’re incredibly grateful for Allison’s many contributions to WindowDressers. She will be greatly missed, but we’re excited for her as she steps into full retirement and this well deserved next chapter.

Donald de Voil was born in Sierra Leone in West Africa and grew up in a fishing town on the east coast of Scotland. He has a bachelors degree in geography from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and a masters in environment and international development from the University of East Anglia in England. Donald has lived and worked in several different countries. In the 1990s, he ran an environmental education center in the Swiss Alps. He then worked for the World Wildlife Fund as their education policy officer for Scotland. In 2001, Donald moved with his American wife to Vermont, where he became an academic coordinator and then a faculty member at the Community College of Vermont. Through his involvement with the Montpelier Energy Advisory Committee, Donald became one of the first volunteer coordinators for WindowDressers in Vermont, running community builds and helping to mentor neighboring communities as WindowDresser’s presence in Vermont grew. Donald is excited to now further the work of the organization in a staff role. He lives in Montpelier Vermont, with his wife and two teenage children.

I am excited to join the WindowDressers team through the Career Exploration Internship Program. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Statistics at the University of Southern Maine. My interest in numbers and data has guided me toward exploring how statistics can be applied to real-world challenges, particularly those that support local communities.

This internship allows me to contribute to sustainable initiatives while supporting small businesses through meaningful, data-driven insights. I am especially interested in how community-focused programs, such as reusable window inserts, can promote both environmental responsibility and economic resilience.

Outside of academics and work, I enjoy reading, singing, and spending time with friends creating music. I am also an aspiring artist who works with acrylic and gouache paints, often drawing inspiration from magical landscapes around the world. I care deeply about building walkable cities and ensuring access to public transportation for all.

We also have some internal transitions to celebrate. Desiree Price now has a dual role at WindowDressers, serving as both Program Manager for ME & E. NH and IT Manager. We’re so grateful for her willingness to step into this position. In this role, she will help us implement sustainable systems practices to ensure our digital tools and platforms serve us effectively over the long term. Sofia Reali, currently serving as our Program Assistant, will have a new title as our Communications and Outreach Coordinator, a title that better reflects the full scope of her work supporting our outreach, marketing, and engagement efforts.

Board Updates

We’re thrilled to announce that board member Mary Ellen Eagan has stepped into the role of Board President. We’re also delighted to welcome Allen Armstrong to our Board of Directors. Their leadership and commitment to our mission will be invaluable as we continue to grow.
